Additive manufacturing continues to open up new possibilities in product development – ranging from innovative design approaches for novel applications to advanced manufacturing processes. On September 29, 2026 we invite you to join us for the workshop "Innovative Product Development by Additive Manufacturing" to explore current developments and the diverse potential of this technology together.

This year, the focus will be on the following topics:

Innovative Design and Optimization Methods

Design Methods and optimization tools for the development of components and applications for Additive Manufacturing.
Advanced Additive Manufacturing Processes

Development of innovative processes and materials to further expand the potential of Additive Manufacturing.
Novel Applications of Additive Manufacturing

Utilizing the potential of Additive Manufacturing to implement novel solutions for innovative applications, such as energy and process engineering.

Call for Papers

We cordially invite you to participate with a contribution! Please send us an abstract (max. 150 words) via email to AM@ipeg.uni-hannover.de by May 5, 2026. The complete workshop papers will be published in cooperation with Springer Vieweg in an DOI and ISBN numbered book (full review). Our committee will arrange the workshop program from a selection of your submitted papers.

The workshop is organized by the Institute of Product Development (IPeG) of the Leibniz Universität Hannover in cooperation with the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. (LZH) and will take place at the LZH. The language of the event is English.
