At the Institute of Product Development (IPeG) we conduct research under the direction of Professor Dr.-Ing. Roland Lachmayer with a large number of students and our partners from science and industry.

In our research, we address the topics of development methodology, systems engineering, additive manufacturing and optomechatronics. For example, we work in the PhoenixD Cluster of Excellence, the Collaborative Research Centres 1153 and 1368 as well as the national research data initiative NFDi and the European-funded GROTESK and Smart Hybrid projects.

In research and teaching, and especially for our industrial partners, we are able to realise and verify integrated product development from the idea to the prototype in our workshops and laboratories.
