We have a new PhD graduate at IPeG!

Ms. Johanna Wurst-Köster successfully earned her PhD on August 27, 2025, with a dissertation titled “Assessment of the Eco-Efficiency of Technologies Using the Example of Metallic Additive Manufacturing.”

Organizations are under constant innovation pressure due to market demands and technological developments. The introduction of new technologies affects the entire organization. In addition to technological advancements, both intrinsic and extrinsic factors of eco-efficiency play a role, bringing ecological and economic aspects of sustainability into focus.

 

In her doctoral research, Ms. Johanna Wurst-Köster developed a holistic multi-level model that structures the integration of new technologies within the organizational environment. The model includes defined management levels as well as business models and clearly assigns decision areas and processes. Her work thus provides a robust foundation for planning, implementing, and analyzing innovation initiatives efficiently and in a differentiated manner. It enables comprehensive evaluation and supports the targeted integration of new technologies.
