Last week, our colleagues Myriam Maalaoui, Weijia Yu, and Jens Niedermeyer attended the World of Photonics Congress 2025 in Munich. During the four-day event, they were able to follow numerous exciting presentations and discussions on topics related to laser technology and additive manufacturing.
Special focus was placed on key topics such as Laser Beam Shaping, Process Development, New Materials & Nanoparticles, as well as Optical Metrology. Many of the subjects covered showed clear overlaps with our own research fields—particularly in optics and system technology for additive manufacturing.
A detailed insight into our impressions and findings can be found in the attached event report.
The associated scientific papers are expected to be submitted by the end of July and will subsequently be published on the website of the Scientific Laser Technology Association (WLT).
